Join Trekkers UK as we take on one of Wales’ most iconic and challenging mountain hikes – Cadair Idris via the Minffordd Route. This is a rewarding adventure through stunning landscapes, waterfalls, natural forestry, steep climbs, and breathtaking summit views.
🥾 The Hike
Route: Minffordd Path Circular
Distance: Approx. 10.5 km
Difficulty: Challenging / Hard
Elevation Gain: Approx. 900 metres
Terrain: Steep ascents, rocky paths, and mountainous terrain
Highlights:
Llyn Cau glacial lake
Dramatic ridgelines
Panoramic summit views across Snowdonia National Park
This route is known for its steep and sustained ascent, making it ideal for those who are looking to push themselves past physical and mental limits

Meeting Point (Coach): B35 (exact location shared after booking)
Meeting Time: 05:45am
Coach Departure: 06:00am
Arrival in Snowdonia: Approx. 09:30
Start Location: Minffordd Car Park, LL36 9AJ
Parking Fee: £6 (all day for those meeting us there)
Return Departure: Approx. 17:00
Expected Return: Around 20:30
