The Route
Our adventure begins in the heart of Dovedale, where we’ll follow the River Dove towards the charming village of Milldale, taking in spectacular limestone scenery along the way.
Throughout the hike we’ll pass several fascinating caves, giving those who wish the opportunity to stop, explore and take a closer look at these unique natural features.
Once we arrive in the picturesque village of Milldale, we’ll enjoy a well-earned stop at the much-loved Polly’s Cottage Café, where you’ll have the opportunity to purchase refreshments, cakes, drinks and chill off for lunch before we begin our return journey.
As we make our way back through Dovedale, those feeling a little more adventurous will have the option to climb Thorpe Cloud. This short but steeper ascent rewards hikers with incredible panoramic views overlooking Dovedale and the surrounding Peak District countryside. For anyone who prefers to stay on lower ground, an alternative route will be available.
Expect beautiful scenery, plenty of photo opportunities, good energy and unforgettable vibes throughout the day.
